Job Posting – IT Technician

Advanced Fixtures, Inc., is an in-store fixture manufacturer that is located in Farmersville, TX that has the capability to execute all elements of a project from design, engineering, prototyping, production, delivery and installation of in store fixtures. This could include fixtures for a single location, a chain of stores, or a major national rollout. With our broad range of experience working with national accounts, combined with in-depth knowledge and understanding of cabinetry and millwork, Advanced Fixtures provides each client with an array of top-notch services.

Position Overview

Mid level position responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, configuring and repair of computer and software systems and related peripherals.

Responsibilities

  • Support users with computer hardware and software issues
  • Manage technical support issues via phone and email
  • Manage ticket queues until resolution
  • Route calls and escalate issues to other IT team members, departments or vendor when necessary
  • Build and configure PCs and peripherals, including creating/loading images
  • Perform PC upgrades and hardware maintenance
  • Ensure that requests for assistance are properly logged, assigned and responded to in a timely manner and according to agreed SLAs and procedures
  • Assist with data and voice systems requests, hardware and issues
  • Assist with special IT projects and other responsibilities as assigned
  • Assist in Maintaining Documentation of IT Processes
  • Assist Manager with Long Term IT Planning
  • Assist Manager with procuring quotes from IT Vendors
  • Assist Manager with IT related projects as needed
  • Typical, routine administrative IT duties such as distribution/security group membership, creating/disabling user accounts, and adjusting systems access as needed
  • Take guidance from IT Manager to ensure tasks are completed successfully and on schedule
  • Occasional travel to second office location

Qualifications

  • Associates degree in information systems, or a related field
  • 2+ years of desktop support experience in a corporate environment
  • Knowledge of current¬† trends and standards in the information technology field
  • Strong with Microsoft Windows 7,10, Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong with general PC installation, desktop peripherals, and general printer/copier technical support skills
  • Light experience with Windows Server 2008 and 2012
  • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical staff
  • Ability to speak fluent English with excellent editing, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and/comfortable in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work overtime as the project load necessitates
